Outlook Email Attachments not Extracted

Issue: Outlook email message files in .msg format are dragged and dropped into CaseLogistix. The attachments were not extracted from the emails into CaseLogistix document records.

Solution: Email attachments cannot be extracted from .msg files that are read only. In order to remove read-only attributes from files, in Windows Explorer right click and choose "Properties" and uncheck the "Read Only" box. Files must be copied from CD to a hard drive before the "Read Only" attribute can be removed
